Frequently Asked Questions
These are some of the most commonly asked questions about building a website. If you have a question that is not listed here, contact us and we will be more than happy to answer it.How much does it cost to build a website?
Can you make me #1 on a Google search?
The first way is because you paid them. You can set up a Google Adwords account and pay them as much as you want to rank you higher for a particular keyword search (i.e. red widgets). Ads that have been paid for usually show up in the top and/or right hand column and are labeled “Sponsored” or “Ads”.
The second (FREE) way is to create relevant and well written content for your website explaining your business and products so that when Google crawls your website it can use this information in its search results. We will help you create a website using the appropriate keywords and tags to maximize your chances of ranking higher in search results.

What if I already have a web hosting account?
If you already have a web hosting account, we can evaluate your current plan to see if we can save you money. Hosting fees have come down considerably in the last few years and the average small business only requires a basic web hosting plan. If you have had your web host for many years, you could be overpaying.
EXAMPLE: We recently had a client that was spending $70/month to host a simple 10 page web site. We moved them to a shared hosting plan for $6/month which is all they really needed. The money we saved them on their web hosting plan alone will pay for their entire website redesign over time.
What information do you need from me to get started?
- Existing website owners: User ID and password to any accounts associated with your website. This may include: domain name registrar, web host & social networking accounts.
- Costs you are currently incurring for accounts related to your website.
- Business card and a company brochure or advertising materials.
- High quality logo image file (any digital format you have).
- Images you would like on the website.
- List of your competitors.
- Find a few of your competitors websites that you think are really good.
What is a responsive website design?
This website is responsive. Try looking at it on a mobile device and a desktop computer and compare the two. You can also see how the content adjusts to different sizes by adjusting the size of your browser window smaller. As the browser window gets smaller, the content will reformat to fit the smaller content area.
